Bad luck Jon, we all have off days
ALTHOUGH the 4-0 scoreline in the Stoke City v Chelsea game looks bad on paper, most of the actual play in the game was in Stoke's favour rather than their opponents.
Stoke had the run over Chelsea during the first half but it seems as though the first goal, during first-half injury time, set back them completely.
They never really picked up after that. Who I feel most sorry for is, of course, Jon Walters, who was the scorer of two own goals, and also missed a penalty.
He must have felt devastated, especially having to take the penalty. No wonder he missed it.

Jon is usually the player who gives his all. He never sits back at any point and keeps going to the bitter end.
I'm sure, however, this will not hinder his future play and he will come back.
Every team has its off day during each season, this was Stoke's.
Jon is a great favourite to many and the fans will be right behind him during the rest of the season.
We all have days when we think we should have stayed in bed – even footballers.
