Person hit by train between Stone and Stoke-on-Trent
A PERSON has been hit by a train between Stone and Stoke-on-Trent.
The announcement, which was made by Virgin Train officials in Stafford Station at around 10am this morning, also said services are now subject to short notice delays, alterations and cancellations.

London Midland, CrossCountry and Virgin Train services have all been affected.
CrossCountry have said journey times may be extended by up to an hour.

• Buses are replacing trains between Stafford and Stone.
• Passengers may use East Midlands Trains services between Crewe and Stoke-on-Trent.
CrossCountry train services through Stoke-on-Trent
• Trains will no longer be calling at Stoke-on-Trent.
• Passengers may use East Midlands Trains services between Crewe and Stoke-on-Trent.
• Passengers may use Northern Trains services between Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent.
• Passengers may use London Midland services on any reasonable routes.
Virgin Train services through Stoke-on-Trent
• Trains will not be calling at Stoke-on-Trent or Macclesfield.
• Trains may be diverted via Crewe.
• Passengers may use East Midlands Trains between Derby and Stoke-on-Trent / London St Pancras.
