Leek rower Anna Watkins wins London 2012 Olympic rowing gold
LEEK rower Anna Watkins has won an Olympic gold medal in the women's double sculls event.
Anna and her team-mate Katherine Grainger won the race at Eton Dorney, beating their Australian rivals to the top prize with a time of 6.55.82.

The Polish team took third place and the bronze medal.
Earlier in the week the pair set a new Olympic record to romp into today's final.
