Awards mark energy saving
PUPILS will be given awards for their work to save energy.
Students from schools across the city will be presented with light bulb shaped awards today in recognition of energy efficiency projects by Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
Staff and students have been saving energy by only turning lights on when needed and switching computers off among other things.
Councillor Andy Platt said: "Reducing energy use in schools is an essential element in the transition to an energy self-sufficient city.
