Awards for cereal-maker
CEREAL-MAKER Mornflake has won two awards from supermarket giant Waitrose.
The Crewe-based firm beat more than 200 companies countrywide to carry off the top Waitrose Way award for its green-minded approach to production and the sustainability of its products.
Mornflake, which has milled oats in South Cheshire since 1675, was also highly commended in the 'Living Well' category for the health-boosting benefits of its porridge products and cereals.
Marketing manager Richard Jones said: "The quality of our products is paramount but so is protecting the environment. To win the top award for these efforts and to be recognised for the quality of our products is a double triumph and a real credit to everyone involved."
