Authority is not fit for purpose
I HAVE just watched the first of three programmes on BBC4 about our city council.
They are blaming the Government for the cuts they have to make, but they got us into all this mess a long time before the recession took hold.
The programme showed our so-called council in its true light – they are totally useless in running our city. It's about time the Government took a grip on them and run this city themselves. We can't be any worse off.
We are broke, but that won't stop our council borrowing millions of pounds to fund council offices in Hanley. Why did the people vote this lot back in power again? They prove time after time that they are not fit for purpose.
