Attack victim's still in hospital
A 47-YEAR-OLD man last night remained in hospital after being attacked outside a pub.
Dave Thomas, of Stoke, was found lying in a street covered in blood after trying to stop an argument between three strangers at the Black Lion pub, in Trent Vale.
He has now regained consciousness after being knocked out in the London Road incident on Saturday, January 12.
He was last night in a 'stable' condition at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

Four men – who are aged 32, 33, 34 and 36 and from Stoke-on-Trent – have been bailed after being arrested in connection with the fight.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "Mr Thomas remains in hospital."
