A 39-year-old man has sparked a police appeal after going missing from his home.

Mohammed Shafaqat, from Etruria Vale Road, was reported missing by his family on Friday night.

He spoke to his family earlier that day and said he was going to take his car to be repaired at a garage in Longton, but has not been in touch with his family since.

Mr Shafaqat is described as Asian, 5ft 9in tall, with a stocky build. He has short, dark brown hair, brown eyes and a beard.

He was wearing an Asian style tunic to his knees, trousers in white fabric and a black jacket when he went missing.

A police spokesman said: "We consider Mr Shafaqat to be vulnerable, and we are becoming increasingly concerned.

"Any person who has seen Mr Shafaqat recently, or has any information, is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 0300 123 44 55."
