DUE to increasing popularity a vegan-friendly food fair is switching locations.

The fair, organised by Staffordshire Animal Aid, will take place on Saturday.

To accommodate a growing number of visitors the fair is moving to the larger upstairs hall of the Methodist Rooms, in Merrial Street, Newcastle.

Animal Aid member Jenny Bell said: "The free food to taste will include veggie curry, casserole and chilli, mushroom and chestnut pie and stir fry. There will also be a selection of vegan dishes to taste from a local Indian restaurant.

"Vegan deserts to taste are mince pies, chocolate cake, fudge and truffles. All of this gorgeous free food is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Also there will be tea and coffee."

The fair will include music, a tombola and cruelty-free products will be available purchase. There will be an information stall with leaflets available on helping animals and there will be an appearance by Santa Claus for children.

The fair will run from 1.30pm to 4pm. Staffordshire Animal Aid campaigns alongside the UKs Animal Aid against animal cruelty.
