MOORLANDS MP Charlotte Atkins is urging residents to air their views on plans for a new health centre in Biddulph.

Building work on the £10 million project in Wharf Road is expected to start next year.

Ms Atkins is pressing for a minor injuries unit and x-ray facilities at the centre.

She said: "Public involvement in planning this is absolutely vital, although I thought it was rather glossed over at the recent public meeting.

"It is far more than a glorified doctors' surgery and it is up to all of us to shape it into what we want it to be."
