Adam gives town the spa treatment
A STOKE-ON-TRENT born entrepreneur is expanding his national clinic chain in the region.
Adam Flint has opened the latest branch of Skin Health Spa in Nantwich and is also basing his head office there.
The business already has clinics in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leamington Spa and the new branch in Nantwich has created seven new jobs – a figure which is expected to double over the next few months.
Adam, who was born in the city before moving to Alsager as a child, is targeting Hanley as his next clinic location.

He got involved with Skin Health Spa after meeting his business partner Maxine Chambers in 2006.
Adam said: "When I left South Cheshire I spent about 15 years travelling the world."
He started his career at a telecoms firm in London before moving to California, where he co-ordinated the launch of a teeth whitening product across 64 different countries. He moved back to South Cheshire when his father died around six years ago.
He said: "We love the area and we love the people – I've got a lot of friends in Staffordshire and Cheshire.
"We were opening these great clinics in London and Birmingham and all our friends were saying to us: 'Why don't you open one here?'"
Adam had previously been running the business from his home in Nantwich.
The Welsh Row clinic has six treatment rooms, as well as housing Skin Health Spa's head office.
It offers skin rejuvenating laser treatments, anti-ageing and wrinkle-reducing options, treatments for sun damage and scarring, permanent hair reduction, pioneering 'Derma Roller' facials and acne treatments, as well as more traditional services such as waxing, facials, massage and spray tanning.
Adam said: "We've employed five people so far in the clinic and we'll probably end up with about 14 or 15. We've also taken on an additional two people for the office."
He added: "We opened last week and, as with any new business, it has involved ironing out a few bugs. We've put in some fairly high-tech booking software which we'll be rolling out across the other clinics.
"This is actually the first time we've opened a more indulgent-type clinic, the others are more medically-focused.
"I think a lot of people have misconceptions about what we do. Many of our treatments are an advanced version of a facial so you still have that relaxation element."
The Nantwich branch is Skin Health Spa's sixth (it has two in London) and Adam says he would like to expand further.
He said: "So far this year we've invested £500,000 in a new clinic in Marylebone High Street, London, as well as this one in Nantwich.
"So this will be the last one for the next four or five months, but I'm looking to open one in the Hanley area next."
Skin Health Spa Nantwich is holding a celebratory launch day on November 24 from noon to 8pm. Free treatments will be available along with Champagne, canapes and a chance to look around the clinic's facilities. Everyone who attends will be entered into a prize draw with the top prize being a £1,000 treatment certificate for the clinic.
