Act now save our bus routes published 7/1/13
Hello there I would like to comment on Mr A Sims article on the bus services of having a First Week. Its amazing as I thought I was the only person to have problems using a First bus pass which I actually pay for. I'm a student nurse that contributes £68 a month for a first month, but of course I work shifts, so need to use the buses to get to and from work when on earlies or lates. However back in October 2012 I was on a late shift on a Sunday evening and didn't finish work until 9:40pm, by the time I got to Newcastle bus station was 10pm. According to the 34 or 34A timetable there should of been a bus at 22:16pm "34" First operator. What actually turned up wasn't what I was expecting it was a Wardle bus using the number 34 and guess what I couldn't get on the bus neither. So I ended up having to walk home after I have paid for a service I didn't receive. Since then I haven't even waited for buses, they want you pay for a service, yet not provide the service. I makes me chuckle that you have these free buses passes that can be used on any operator, yet those who pay for their bus passes are bound to use just First buses. It's a farce, don't know about First it should be called "Seconds"
