Accident on A500 northbound causes rush-hour congestion
A WOMAN had a lucky escape on the A500 this morning after the car she was driving overturned.
The car was turned on to its side on a crash barrier at around 6.30am, causing both lanes of the northbound carriageway to close between the Wolstanton Retail Park and Porthill Bank.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, crews found a car that had come to rest on the driver’s side on the crash barrier with fuel leaking from it.
“The only occupant, a woman who was about 40, was initially trapped but after being extricated was found to have only suffered minor back injuries."

“@sloblocks
You said;
"THis is no surprise. It's just typical of the awful driving standards seen everyday on the roads of Stoke-on-Trent. Not only are the people of Stoke-on-Trent innumerate and illiterate, they can't drive properly either."
Hmmm, I'm beginning to wonder if my eyesight is playing tricks on me, as I'm still really struggling to see where this article confirms that the driver was to blame for the accident. Granted, it's a possibility that driver error has caused the crash, but you and a few others can apparently see some kind of corroborating evidence in this story that I can't, so perhaps you can help me sloblocks; will you kindly highlight where the article states that driver error was the cause of the crash?
Many thanks in advance.”

“@kjhgfd, mowcopman, kilipo and Packmovaliant;
It's only a very brief article, so I've been able to read it through quite a few times, and for the life of me I can't see where the story mentions who or what caused the accident. Still, don't let that technicality impede the conclusion that each of you have so readily jumped to.”

Learn to spell and use punctuation correctly, then you can make stupid comments like:
"ive always said keep females of the roads,they just cant drive".
Surely it should be I've and off not of”
