A MAN is in hospital after being hit by a car this morning.

Emergency services were called to the Station Road slip road, off the A500 at Stoke, at 7.20am to a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a Honda Accord vehicle.

He was taken to the University of North Staffordshire where police say he is in a stable condition.

Police have closed one lane near to Stoke Road traffic lights and remain on the scene.
