‘Blizzard’ conditions on the roads as snow comes down across Staffordshire
Driving conditions were 'like a blizzard' on Staffordshire roads this morning, with snow and sleet coming down fast, wind and cold temperatures.
But in most of the county the snow is not landing and the Met Office expects the bad weather to pass over today.

The Met Office has issued a Yellow warning of severe weather with rain, sleet and snow sweeping across the county with the possibility of snow landing on high areas.
Staffordshire Police reported a number of trees down across the county and the roads blocked in some areas.

• B5049 High Ln,Tunstall, Stoke-On-Trent was closed near the Little Chell Lane junction, because of a fallen tree & slates falling from a roof.
• A520 Leek Road in Cellarhead closed and heavy traffic in both directions near Cellarhead Cross Roads, because of a stable in the road.
• Dean St in Brewood partially blocked in both directions between The Pavement junction and the School Road junction, because of an accident
• Camrose Hill in Rudyard partially blocked at the B5331 Rudyard Road junction, because of a fallen tree.
• Scot Hay Road,Silverdale closed between the B5044 High Street junction and the Crackley Lane junction, because of collapsed wall.
And Staffordshire Fire and Rescue crews used a Thermal Imaging Camera to investigate a collapsed gable end of terraced house in Alsagers Bank.
