40 more jobs under threat at Wedgwood
ANOTHER 40 Wedgwood and Royal Doulton jobs are under threat at the firm's distribution centre.
The china-maker's U.S. owners say cuts need to be made at the Stone depot because sales are being hit by the recession.

But critics believe the latest redundancy programme is a result of more production being transferred from the Barlaston factory to Wedgwood's plant in Indonesia.

“What a suprise - was the recession not on when Wedgwoods was bought ? Getting a bit of a get out clause isn't it now. Don't really think there is actually much production going on at any Wedgwood factory at the moment so it's going to be interesting when it's announced what's happeing in August / whenever they get around to it.”
