18-year-old motorcyclist taken to hospital after Fenton crash

AN 18-YEAR-OLD has been taken to hospital this afternoon following a crash in Fenton.

Ambulance crews were called to the junction of City Road and Smithpool Road at approximately 2pm after a collision between a cyclist and a car.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews treated an eighteen year old male for a leg fracture and facial injuries.

“The patient was immobilised using a neck collar, spinal board and leg splint.

“The driver of the car was treated at the scene but did not require further hospital treatment."
